THE VENUE
The Ranch House is a beautiful venue in the heart of the Whitney Ranch community in Rocklin, Ca. This charming venue set the stage for Megan & Ricky's vow renewal and was the perfect place to bring their family together to celebrate their love! This space provided a cozy, yet spacious ballroom with a private patio area perfect for a reception. It offers a spacious full-service kitchen for catering (yes, that's important!) and a breezy courtyard overlooking a resort-style pool where the couple exchanged their vows. Besides the main spaces, this venue offers a comfy lounge that was the perfect place to get ready and then relax after a long day of celebrating.
THE DETAILS
One of the many things I loved about Megan was her eye for design! She had a vision and it came together beautifully! Between her DIY projects and online finds, she was able to bring a beautiful design together and it was an honor to help her execute that vision on the big day! Take a look:
The Cake
This cake topper has to be one of my favorite details from this day. It was the perfect little "Family Portrait" with their five girls each represented on top of the cake with them.
I believe she found this on Etsy (sorry, I don't know who the artist was!)
Divine Desserts by Aguirre did a great job adding Megan's succulents to their simple, yet beautiful two-tiered wedding cake. They even provided pre-cut slices that were JUST as delicious, if not more. That made it easy for our servers to pass out cake right after the cake cutting!
The Flowers
I was so excited when I learned that Megan had rented her flowers from Something Borrowed Blooms! I've heard a lot about this company and actually referred a few brides to them, but never got a chance to see them in person. I was not disappointed!
The flowers not only looked beautiful, and almost real (the photographer didn't realize they weren't real until we had mentioned it hours in) they also smelled so yummy! Plus, we were able to set up flowers early in the day and not have to worry about wilting!

The Signage
No rustic wedding is complete without a collection of chalkboard and wooden signs with scripted font! Megan did a great job of finding beautiful signs to scatter around her space.
- The Wooden Welcome sign greeted guests with its rustic charm. Adding greenery was a great way to incorporate texture & color.
- Hanging wooden signs were a nice way to show guests which seats were reserved and marked the Bride & Grooms' seats beautifully.
- Megan put her DIY skills to use with her window-pane seating chart. It was a great balance of clean, simple & rustic.
The Tabletops
I had the pleasure of helping Megan & Ricky design their place settings when we met at Celebrations Party Rentals. We were really pleased with how clean and modern we were able to make a rustic table-top feel!
The ivory dinner plates had a beautiful design around the rim to give it a feminine "lacey" feel. We paired that with copper flatware that was a nice change from traditional silver or gold. We decided to go with an envelope fold that we inserted a "thank you" card and a sprig of rosemary for that final touch. And we can't forget about those smokey green water goblets that really tied it all together with the greenery garland!

THE CEREMONY
There's something extra special about a vow renewal ceremony that sets them apart from traditional wedding ceremonies. It's so great to so "I-do" and be husband and wife for the first time, but to say "I-do again" is powerful.
Seeing Megan & Ricky surrounded not only by friends and family but by their five daughters was so sweet. I love that they were incorporated into the ceremony with their parents.
Megan & Ricky's vows were not only to each other but to the family that they built together.
The ceremony was a beautiful way to set an example in love to their children.
THE RECEPTION

The Taco Bar
I can't NOT feature the taco bar! Masa Guiserra outdid themselves with their spread for dinner. Not only did they go above and beyond with the presentation, but the food was amazing. Guests were so impressed with the hand-made tortillas and the authentic ingredients they provided for tacos.

The Performance
One of the special touches of this reception was the super sweet performance by Megan & Ricky's eldest daughter.
She sang and played beautifully as a gift to her parents. Let's just say, there were a few tears.
The Party!
Megan & Ricky's guests made for a great party! They were a lively crew who danced the night away.
The Lee Waterman Trio started the night off with their live Jaz as guests enjoyed their dinner and Megan & Ricky danced to their song. The party was then handed over to DJ Brian from Your Budget DJ who kept the party going until the very end!
